The Barking Concert Band was originally formed about 40 Years ago, and is a Community band made up of local musicians of all ages who play a variety of wind instruments, rehearsing weekly at the Galleon Hall in Barking. The band performs at many local charitable events, and provides a programme of light hearted enjoyable music which appeals to all ages, playing music from shows and films, marches and novelty  items.

The Barking Band is always looking for new members who may have learnt an instrument earlier in life, and would like to enjoy playing again. You may be a bit rusty, but providing you can remember how to read music, with an average playing ability of around Grade 4, we would welcome your contribution to our Band. Why not come along to one of our rehearsals and listen , to see if you wish to join us. We rehearse each Tuesday evening from 7.30pm to 10.00pm, with a tea break too, at Chadwell Heath Baptist Church, 78 The High Road,Chadwell Heath, Romford, RM6 6PP. The Barking Concert Band also supports the Blind and Disabled Trust, as we wish to encourage members from all walks of life who enjoy playing a musical instrument, and make regular contributions to disabled organisations to offer support.

We look forward to welcoming you in the near future.
